ESD targeted trainings (can be supported by Erasmus plus), 2019-2020

MEdIES plans to run several week-long training courses onĀ Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) for formal and non-formal educators from European countries and beyond.

The courses combine short theory sessions and a lot of workshops, field visits, hands-on, and co-creative group-work sessions. They all start from a common ā€œcoreā€ instruction on the principles of ā€˜Education for Sustainable Developmentā€™, in light of the SDG agenda, followed by a different focus-theme:

For 2019-2020 the specialization sessions we offer are on:

- Marine litter Education: Sun 6 October - Sat 12 October 2019 (See Report from 2018 course)

- Animation in Education: Sun 10 November 2019 - Sat 16 November 2019

- Non Conventional Water Resources: Sun 15 March - Sat 21 March 2020

The courses take place in Athens, Greece. The indoor sessions are held in the premises of MIO-ECSDE, in the historical centre of Athens, while the outdoor sessions and site visits will take place in and around the city of Athens.

What is the Cost?

The total cost for the week-long training (including tuition fee, travel, accommodation and subsistence), depending on your country of origin, is estimated between 1300 and 1800 EURO.These costs are eligible to be 100% funded by the Erasmus+ programme, notably under Key Action 1 (KA1 - mobility projects for staff of school education and training and adult education). (Read more below, in the PRE-REGISTRATION form of each session).

The tuition fee (for MIO-ECSDE / MEdIES) is 490 Euro and can be covered by the KA1 mobility grant.

Deadlines for 2019 courses

As organisers we accept pre-registrations up to one month before the course starts.
