Drawing on the expertise of senior academics and experts at the University of Athens we offer this program, leading to official Training Certificate and focusing on the multidisciplinary Historic, Cultural, Environmental and Dietary Overview.

The programme is designed for people who wish to learn in depth about the Mediterranean food products and diet, their historical evolution and related a?oimmateriala?╬┐╬Ć┬Ż cultural goods as well as the central role of food in sustainable development.

This programme aims to introduce participants to and raise their awareness about the typical Mediterranean food products and diet, as well as the intangible cultural heritage and goods that are related to food: customs, traditions, social status, culinary practices and tools, ceremonies, and values.

We are excited to bring you details of our new English taught e-learning course at the University of Athens.
Drawing on the expertise of senior academics and experts we offer this 9-week course directed by Michael Scoullos, Professor University of Athens, UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development Management and Education in the Mediterranean.
This course leads to an official Training Certificate.

 

New e-course of the e-learning Programme of the University of Athens

"Mediterranean Food and Diet : A multidisciplinary Historic, Cultural, Environmental and Dietary Overview"

The programme is designed for people who wish to learn in depth about the Mediterranean food products and diet, their historical evolution and related cultural goods as well as the central role of food in sustainable development.

Scope: The e-course aims to introduce participants to and raise their awareness about the typical Mediterranean food products and diet, as well as the intangible cultural heritage and goods that are related to food: customs, traditions, social status, culinary practices and tools, ceremonies, and values.

Language: English taught e-learning course.

Duration: 9-week course
